This article aims to understand the Archival Public Policies of the Public Archive of the State of Amazonas. Some analyzes on the context of a national policy on archives will be highlighted. The methodology consists of a bibliographical and conceptual survey of public policies, case study, exploratory, qualitative, quantitative and descriptive research. Public archival policies and the archival system must be deployed and implemented in the state’s charge for citizens and governance.
