In this article, we aim to think about the archive from networks of power and knowledge, in what we are calling, based on Foucault, the archival dispositive. We seek to insert the archive into a large network of relationships formed by power games of knowledge and power, as well as thinking the archivist as an essential element in the construction of these narratives about the past and the manipulation of historical time.
