The Arquivo Nacional de Ciência e Tecnologia (National Archive of Science and Technology - Portugal) was established in 2011. Its collections are essential to the study of science policy and organization of science in Portugal since the mid-twentieth century and to the study of the Portuguese national science system itself. It includes among its collections the archives of institutions responsible for the organization and public administration of science, as well as the personal archives of some important figures in the field.
