This article addresses Marc Ferrez’s career and his different professional phases, taking as starting point his production of stereoscopic views. By relating stereoscopy with the various photomechanical processes, procedures and chemical formulas used by the photographer, as well as his many distinct techniques in disseminating images from the 19th century, we seek to understand Ferrez’s formation as a typical modernity observer.
