O artigo expõe fundamentos para uma contrahegemoniade gênero (com foco racial),identificando as mulheres negras comomulheres de poder. Mostra esse poder na culturaoral e na constituição das sociedadesfemininas. Trata do aparecimento do feminismonegro brasileiro; dos avanços das mulheres negrasna organização política e na apropriação deconhecimento e aponta metas alcançadas de modogradual, se consideramos a intensidade da luta.

The article shows principles to understand gender (in a racial focus) in an anti-hegemonic way, identifying black women as women of power. It shows that power is in oral culture and in the constitution of the feminine societies. It relates how Brazilian black feminism emerged, how black women grew up in policy and in knowledge appropriation and indicates goals that are being reached, in a gradual way, if we consider the intensity of the struggle.
